My son (8-years-old) and I thoroughly enjoyed exploring the Aerocinema.com content. From rare footage to interesting profiles of aviation personalities, we found the site to be entertaining as well as very informative. The videos looked great full-screen on my computer and my iPhone too. Overall, we recommend this site to the EAA membership.

Very neat. Lots of great and interesting videos. I especially like the personal accounts.

This is the "Wings" cable channel, on steroids, I can't get anymore, anytime I want to log on. It's not just the what, but the who, why and how it happened as well. The data base is large and growing each month.

Interesting collection of historic snippets mostly relating to WW2 aviation. There are a number of vignettes about unusual aircraft such as the Me163 and the Natter, numerous recollections from pilots who flew them or were involved in development. Everything I watched seemed to me to be historically accurate, no misplaced clips of wrongly identified aircraft. A lot of the content reminded me of the now-defunct Wingspan cable channel.

Dear AeroCinema,
I think you guys have some of the best subject material for aviation enthusiast on the web. The programming is accurate, concise, and very entertaining. I want more! Bravo!

If you are a fan of the History Channel and/or the Military Channel, you will enjoy AeroCinema. I have watched countless hours of television on these two channels, and I was glad to see that AeroCinema actually had video footage I had never seen. There is a lot of original footage, and it often has an international focus. My only concern would be the price of the service, but if you feel like you cannot get enough aviation, it is worth the price.

If you are interested in the history of famous (and some not-so-famous) aircraft and the men and women who flew them, then this is a website you’ll defiantly want to check out. There are lots of hard-to-find videos here; some done in a documentary style, some pilot interviews, and some done using a mix of the two. The introductory price of $9.95 for three months is a fair charge considering the quality and rarity of some of the films offered.

If I had to describe this website, there is no better word than wow. This website contains historical data of monumental proportions, accurately refined into knowledgeable, interesting, and brilliantly entertaining sections of videos (of good quality, might I add!). The videos cover more than aviation, with a variety of videos covering different parts of history—from the atomic bomb to the transonic jet engineering of Britain in the 1940s. This website covers a lot, and more videos are added monthly. I would recommend this website to aviation enthusiasts and history buffs alike. It has certainly taught me a thing or two.

The videos and pictures are of very good quality, plus informational data is presented in an interactive manner, which keeps one’s interest. My only critical comment, and the reason I rated this site with only a 6 out of 10, is that the limited amount of content on the site at this point would not be enough to compel me to pay the price of $19.95 for three months. I recognize, however, that the channel continues to add content in an ongoing fashion, and at some point, if that continues, I could be compelled to pay the going price.

Not long ago, RCUniverse asked me to look into a new website called, AeroCinema.com. I thought, "What a concept - A website totally devoted to aircraft and aerospace videos!"

Membership is $9.95 for a 3-month trial period, with each additional 3 month period costing $19.95. At first I thought this was a little pricy, but then I realized that I pay 4 times that to watch one or two channels on my worthless cable system, so I got a 3-month subscription and started browsing. The site is very well organized and a non-member may view trailers of the videos to see if they look appealing. It also gives you the opportunity to check out the quality of the clip.

It didn't take long before I was neck-deep in aviation clips! There is an immense variety of videos to sort through, with 10 new videos added each month. Topics like, "Race for the Superfortress", "Death of the Luftwaffe", "Canards of War", etcetera are among the list.

While there is the occasional film grain, most of the video quality is excellent and professionally narrated. Many also include interviews with the actual participants in the stories. Aside from the actual aircraft videos, there are other areas such as, "Reflections" where real people tell first hand accounts of episodes from surviving a shoot-down to what it was like being a "Rosie the Riveter". There is also an "AeroSource" page that has links to stats and comments of some of the WWII era aircraft.

So if you're an aviation buff like me (And if you're not, what are you doing on THIS website?), Pop over to www.AeroCinema.com and browse around for a while. You just may become as addicted to it as I am!
